Susan Troop

Assistant Director, Pre-College Programs

Susan Troop joined the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as the Assistant Director of Pre-College STEM programs at the University of Tennessee in February of 2021.  Ms. Troop was previously a Coordinator in the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships where she worked for four years cultivating a passion for research in undergraduate students. Prior to joining the University of Tennessee, Ms. Troop was an elementary school teacher and also worked in multiple nonprofit organizations.  Ms. Troop received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont, and her Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration at the University of Tennessee.

Trixie Stengle

Coordinator, Pre-College Programs

Trixie Stengle moved to Tennessee from Florida in September 2021 to join the Financial Aid Department at the University of Tennessee. In December 2021, she transitioned to the position of Coordinator for Pre-College STEM programs within Undergraduate Admissions.  Ms. Stengle is an Army veteran and was stationed in Fort Riley, KS where she specialized in Aviation Operations. She brings seven plus years of higher education experience working in various administrative positions. Before joining the UT family, Ms. Stengle served as a Financial Aid Officer and VA Certifying official at Keiser University. Ms. Stengle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management from Saint Leo University and a Master of Business Administration from Keiser University.

Heather McQueary

Associate, Pre-College Programs

Heather McQueary joined the team as the Pre-College Programs Associate, in October 2021. Relocating to Tennessee from California, she previously worked as an Information Management Specialist at a public high school where she coordinated with high school seniors, administrators, and community donor organizations, to host a local scholarship award event. Heather and her family moved to the Knoxville area in June 2021 to be closer to family and to enjoy the beautiful outdoors, welcoming community, and amazing Volunteer sports.
